DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN DAR ES SALAAM
Welcome to Dar es Salaam!
Our friendly guide will pick you up at the airport and smoothly take you to your lodge. Once there, check-in quickly and make yourself comfy in your room. Enjoy the lodge's amenities and take it easy.
Relax and get used to the unique atmosphere of Dar es Salaam. Day 1 is all about arriving smoothly and making yourself at home in Tanzania!
DAY 2: DAR ES SALAAM CITY TOUR
Welcome to Dar es Salaam! Customize your city tour to fit exactly what you like!
Explore the lively maritime scene at Kivukoni Fish Market, engage with fishermen, and savor local seafood. Experience Tanzanian tradition at Khanga Fabric Market, where colorful fabrics and Swahili proverbs come to life. Dive into the bustling atmosphere of Kariakoo Market, navigating narrow alleys and indulging in Tanzanian cuisine. Discover intricate wooden sculptures and traditional artifacts at Mwenge Woodcarvers Market or explore Tanzania's rich history and diverse heritage at the National Museum. Uncover the vibrant world of Tinga Tinga paintings at Tinga Tinga Arts Market or step back in time at the Village Museum, showcasing traditional dwellings from various Tanzanian ethnic groups. Conclude your day at the popular Coco Beach, relaxing by the Indian Ocean and trying out local beverages and snacks.

DAY 3: NYERERE NATIONAL PARK - BOATSAFARI
Our guide picks you up at your accommodation in the city. You'll start your journey to Nyerere National Park, which will take about 5-6 hours depending on your starting location and time.
Around 4PM, your boat safari will start. The boatsafari will be about 2 hours. You get the chance to explore the Rufiji river and all its beauty from uplcose.
Many rare bird species can be found here on the river banks and hundreds of hippos will greet you along the way. Crocodiles are also often spotted and you might even see some big wildlife coming for a drink or a refreshing dip in the river. You will enjoy sunset from one of the small islands in the river. You will truly feel like you're in a dream!
After the boat safari, you head back to the lodge where you can enjoy the facilities, eat some delicious food, enjoy the surroundings and sounds of the bush.
Get some rest to prepare yourself for another day full of adventure!
DAY 4: NYERERE NATIONAL PARK - GAMEDRIVE
Rise and shine! Today you have a whole day of wildlife watching waiting for you. After a delicious breakfast at the lodge, you'll start your day full of nature and wildlife.
Between 6-8 AM, you will head to the park. Your gamedrive will start right away! Not a morning person? No problem! You can decide the start and end time of your safari yourself. Between 12-14 PM, you will have a picknick in the park. Enjoy a delicious lunch in the bush!
Around 5 PM, you'll start your journey back to the lodge where you can get some rest after a busy day! Enjoy the dramatic sunset over the Rufiji river with the many animal sounds coming from the bush. Keep your eyes open when you're on your way to the lodge as wildlife can be frequently spotted in and around the lodge.
Nyerere National Park is the newest and biggest national park of Tanzania, also known under its old name, Selous. This park offers a unique experience and is truly unforgettable. Its home to a great variety of wildlife and some rare species like wild dogs.
If you wish to end your gamedrive a little earlier to enjoy the lodge's facilities, that's possible! You decide yourself when you will start and end your safari.


DAY 5: NYERERE NATIONAL PARK - GAMEDRIVE + DRIVE TO MIKUMI NATIONAL PARK
Start your day with an early morning game drive in Nyerere National Park, exploring its vast wilderness and abundant wildlife. This is your last day in Nyerere, so make the most of it! Starting early gives you the best chance to spot some of Nyerere's rare animals like the wild dogs which are high on every safari-lover's wishlist!
Around 11-12, you will exit the park at Kisaki village and embark on a scenic journey through the Uluguru Mountains. The drive to Mikumi will take you about 6-7hours and offers stunning views of lush landscapes, rolling hills, and vibrant local communities.
Arrive at Mikumi National Park in the evening, where you’ll settle into your accommodation and enjoy a relaxing evening surrounded by nature.
DAY 6 & 7: MIKUMI NATIONAL PARK
Get ready for an unforgettable adventure in Mikumi National Park! Once you arrive, you'll kick off with a game drive, where you might spot elephants, zebras, giraffes, and if you're lucky, even lions relaxing in the shade. The Mkata Floodplain is one of the best areas to explore, offering great chances to see wildlife up close.
Head over to the Hippo Pools, where you may see hippos and crocodiles hanging out, along with birds like fish eagles and storks. Whether you choose to have a picnic in the park or head back to your lodge for lunch, nature will surround you at every turn.
During your time in Mikumi, you'll go on more game drives, exploring different parts of the park. The stunning backdrop of the Uluguru Mountains adds extra beauty to your safari. With some luck, you might spot animals like leopards or catch sight of lions on the hunt.
In the evenings, unwind with dinner under the stars at your lodge, as the sounds of the wild create a peaceful ambiance. Be sure to rise early for a sunrise drive—the perfect time to possibly see predators like lions and leopards in action.
After your second day here, you will continue to Morogoro. Your safari adventure ends here, but there are many more exciting things to come in the rest of your holiday!


DAY 8: DRIVE TO USAMBARA MOUNTAINS
Today you will head to Lushoto in the Usambara Mountains for some culture and hiking fun!
The drive is long (7-8hrs) but really beautiful! Take your time and stop where you wish to buy some local goodies or to experience village life.
Upon arrival at the lodge in Lushoto, you will relax and get ready for the next adventure!
DAY 9 & 10: USAMBARA MOUNTAINS - LUSHOTO
The next days will be full of fun experiences in the mountains!
You can choose between many cool activities here to fill your days. The Usambara Mountains is a mountain range in north-eastern Tanzania.
It is filled with untouched tropical rainforests and little villages. You can explore here for days in a row without getting bored. Walk up to one of the breathtaking viewpoints or go into the rainforest to explore some of the waterfalls.

DAY 11: EXPLORE BAGAMOYO
Get ready to explore the charming coasal town of Bagamoyo. This town has a very rich historyand offers a day full of cultural, historical, and natural beauty. The drive from Lushoto to Bagamoyo will take you about 6 hours.
Begin your journey with a stroll through the narrow streets lined with colonial-era buildings, including the Old Fort, which offers panoramic views of the ocean. Don't miss the chance to explore the local markets, where you can find traditional crafts and souvenirs.
Bagamoyo is home to many talented artists, dancers and musicians because of the famous art university which is located near the old town center. This is the best place for some good souvenir shopping.
For lunch, sample local cuisine at one of Bagamoyo's many restaurants, offering fresh seafood and Swahili dishes.
End your day tour with a relaxing visit to the beaches of Bagamoyo, where you can swim ocean or join the locals in a football game.
DAY 12 & 13: ZANZIBAR - EXPLORE STONE TOWN
You will take the ferry to Zanzibar from Dar es Salaam, at about 2 hours driving from Bagamoyo. You arrive right into the old center of Stone Town where you will check in to the hotel and explore the beauty of the historical town!
Spend the day discovering the rich history and vibrant culture of Stone Town, the historic heart of Zanzibar. Wander through its narrow, winding streets lined with beautifully carved wooden doors, bustling bazaars, and colonial-era architecture.
Visit iconic landmarks such as the House of Wonders, the Old Fort, and the former slave market to gain insight into Zanzibar’s unique blend of Arab, African, and European influences. Indulge in local flavors at a traditional Zanzibari restaurant and take time to shop for souvenirs, from spices to handmade crafts.
In the evening, enjoy a leisurely stroll along the seafront, where you can soak in the lively atmosphere and stunning sunset views over the Indian Ocean.
At a surcharge, you can get a guide to take you around the old town and explain more about its rich history.


DAY 14 - 17: ZANZIBAR - RELAX AT THE BEACH
Unwind on Zanzibar’s pristine beaches, where powdery white sand meets the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean.
Spend your days at leisure, soaking up the sun, swimming, or enjoying the warm tropical breeze.
For those seeking more adventure, optional activities include snorkeling or diving in vibrant coral reefs, a spice tour to explore the famous spice plantations, or a visit to nearby coral reefs like Mnemba Atoll for a day of marine exploration.
Evenings are perfect for savoring fresh seafood at beachside restaurants and enjoying the relaxed atmosphere of the island.
DAY 18: FLIGHT TO DAR ES SALAAM + FLIGHT HOME
Today is the last day of your holiday. Enjoy the last hours as the beach before making your way to the airport for a short 25-minute flight to Dar es Salaam.
Flights are available at 8:30 AM, 9:20 AM, 2:30 PM, and 7:00 PM, allowing you to choose a departure time that best fits your international flight schedule.
